@soundaholism.bsky.social I’m also a UXer and I think one of the most important invisible skills is understanding how the software works. Latencies, databases, code constraints… you can’t write a good error message if you don’t know why it happened or what the user should do. Gotta be tight with engineering folks.

@boozybadger.lawyersandliquor.com i know y’all are lawyers, but i also know the cobbler’s kids have no shoes. and you didn’t ask for advice, but i’m handing it out anyway ‘cause dad just died a few months ago. if you don’t already have the medical and financial power of attorney stuff set up, this is the time.
